Free Two-Day Workshop For Parents, Caregivers, and Educators

I warmly invite you, your spouse, your child's caregiver, paraeducator and teacher to join me for a weekend workshop at the beautiful Orinda Community Center.

The biggest transformations happen for a child when the significant people in the child's environment begin to embody more of themselves by way of 'Awareness through Movement' and applying principles of brain plasticity in daily interactions with the child.

In this workshop, we will explore the fundamental functional movement patterns that are the building blocks for locomotion and uprightness, thinking, feeling, non-verbal, verbal, and emotional expression in human beings. In the process, your body releases tension and pain and you gain more flexibility, strength, better balance, and a sense of mental-emotional well-being. Experiencing the organization and refinement of these patterns in yourself, you will recognize their significance for your child's development.

We will also discuss principles of brain plasticity and use them in movement explorations. With this new holistic perspective, you will become more attuned to your child as well as confident, creative, and skillful in supporting and enabling them.

On Sunday after the lunch break, we will have a joint parent-child session where you have an opportunity to apply what you learned while being with your child and have my support and guidance available to you.
